Java Back-end Developer, DomaCare

We are looking for a Java Back-end or Senior Back-end developer.

DomaCare is one of the fastest-growing software solutions in the social and care sector. It is used daily by thousands of care professionals across Finland.

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for a candidate with experience in developing Java-based SaaS applications who is used to creating technical requirements for complex problems. You are capable of managing and processing large volumes of application data and motivated towards professional improvement. Experience using AI language models to support work and learning is considered a bonus. Familiarity with AI agents is an additional advantage

As part of our team you will build software solutions that meet real customer needs. You are self-motivated, willing to learn and have a cooperative mindset with excellent communication skills. Working as part of an international development team, English language skills are a must, and Finnish skills are a bonus.

We develop our product following agile principles, working closely together as a collaborative team where the tasks are diverse and challenging. In addition to product development, we have dedicated Product Management, QA, Sales and Customer support teams with whom we collaborate closely.

What we are looking for:

• Ability to write clear, efficient and testable Java code
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB
• Some knowledge and willing to learn AI language models and AI agents
• A place of residence in Finland
• Valid working permit for Finland
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team

We appreciate candidates who have experience in Java backend development, finding and solving problems and are eager to learn more. Additionally, experience in full-stack web application development is valued. Experience working with agile methodologies and AI tools is a plus.

Our offices are located in Helsinki and Oulu, but remote work is also possible. However, we hope you are able to travel occasionally for team, product development, or company meetings. The starting salary for the position is approximately 4000-5000 euros, depending on your experience and skills. We are also happy to hear your own salary expectations.
